Pirates 3, Astros 2

The first thought that I have when my favorite team has bases loaded and nobody out in the ninth inning down one should not be “what if they don’t score?” And yet, that’s what this Pirates team has done to me.  There are a lot of encouraging things to take from today: Alvarez fighting back from an 0-2 count to get a sac fly in a big spot, AJ Burnett’s great start, the bullpen work.  And yet, there was so much frustration in this game.  The Pirates need better, smarter at-bats and they need to stop running the bases like a little league team.  That would be really nice.
