According to NERD (via fangraphs.com), which rates games on a scale of 0-10 in how interesting they are to watch, today’s Pirates-Brewers matchup has a score of 0. This is thanks to two lousy, thoroughly uninteresting starting pitchers (Kevin Correia and Randy Wolf) and the awful Pirates offense. So if you’re into (somewhat) objectively uninteresting games, get excited. That said, I will still be watching, because, as a fan of the Pirates, I find this game to be subjectively interesting. I can’t wait to watch Kevin Correia throw three pitches that are hard to distinguish from each other.
